Sister Number Three. Aunt Mae. My lovely Aunt Mae passed away last Easter (04/06/2006) of Cancer, and it was just a shock to everyone. My Aunt Mae, was one of the backbones of the sisters, and it is still really hard on the family.
Previous Clip About Aunt Mae:
I will warn you now, never try and visit Aunt Mae, she is never home. Sure her front door may be open, but she is never there! The entire family knows that from experience. I don't know how many times Dea or Aunt Em, have gone over there, walked in, searched the house, and didn't find her. Aunt Mae is always on the move. So if you ever want to go and visit her, call first! In her spare time, what spare time there is, she is just like the other sisters, gardening and baking.
Sister Number Four. Dea. Sure I can fill this part in all about my Grandma, but she is a very special woman. She has her own page! If you would like to read more about Dea, just go to the FAMILY section and pick the part about Rose (Dea), and it will tell all about her. I will say this much though, this woman is just like the rest - once she gets her mind set on doing something, just try and stop her.
Brother Number One. Uncle Nab. Nickname for Walter. Uncle Nab is so funny that I have always laughed around him. It started when I was young. Very young. Uncle Nab always did magic tricks to keep me going. I guess you can say, he likes to perform in front of a crowd. But you sure couldn't tell from his early years. He was very strict. Uncle Nab was the Head Coach at William A. Wirt High School, then the Vice Principle at Hobart, and he has always been on the move. Now that he has retired, his favorite type of sport is golf, and every now and then with the family, some cards won't hurt! Must be that Nabhan blood.
Sister Number Five. Aunt Vi, my favorite Great Aunt, also passed away last year of cancer. Though Aunt Vi had been fighting against cancer for some time, she thought she could beat the odds, God decided to take her, right after her sister Mae, on May 16th, 2006. Things just wont be the same not being able to sit down and talk with her, like a sister, instead of a Great Aunt. I Will Miss Her.
Previous Clip About Aunt Vi:
Aunt Vi. Peanut Butter cookies anyone? Back in the late 70's, early 80's, when I was a frequent member of Bethel, I always used to walk over to Aunt Vi's house early on Sunday mornings (after Sunday school) and wake her up. We would talk for about a half an hour, and Aunt Vi would keep me busy by starting to bake cookies or muffins in the kitchen. OH BOY, was it fun. Aunt Vi always knew how to shut up a fat little boy! Anyway, Aunt Vi and I had so much fun back then, and we still do now! When I talk to her, we can talk about anything, and she doesn't hesitate on how she feels. I think that Aunt Vi, is the hippest out of all of the sisters; well next to my Grandma of course.
